Newport Storm Luau on Saturday for Fort Adams Trust.

The Fort Adams Trust will be the beneficiary of the 12th Newport Storm Luau on Saturday, Aug.14, from 4:30 - 10 p.m. on the Parade Field.

Luau themed food including a pig roast will be provided by East Ave Café from Pawtucket,Rhody Joe's of Wakefield and Plouffe's Enterprises of Pawtucket. Ben & Jerry's ice cream bars and Swing Juice will round out the menu choices.

Most notably, Newport Storm will be providing a variety of their signature beers like Hurricane Amber Ale & Rhode Island Blueberry (made with RI blueberries) and will be introducing this year's Regenschauer Oktoberfest - the first keg to be tapped at the Luau.

There will be signature rum drinks featuring Thomas Tew Rum, distilled by Coastal Extreme Brewing Company. Mai Tai and Newport Stormy cocktails will also be served.

Live entertainment includes headliner Roots Reaction and the Jason Colonies Band from Jamestown. The Napua O'Polynesia, island dancers will hula dance. After dark, a fire dancer will perform.

All proceeds raised from the event will be used to support the stabilization, restoration and education programs of the Fort Adams Trust.

Tickets are $10 in advance ($15 day of event and at the door while still available). Price includes admission and one beer token. Tickets can be purchased online, at the brewery located at 293 JT Connell Road, Newport and at Fort Adams Trust Gift Shop on the ground level of the Fort Adams Trust building.

Guests must be 21 for admission.
