Mother's Day at local restaurants

The Coast Guard House Restaurant, 40 Ocean Rd., Narragansett, (401) 789-0700, coastguardhouse.com, will offer brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A three-course fixed-price dinner, featuring an entrée choice of North Atlantic salmon, housemade lobster ravioli, risotto primavera or herb-roasted prime rib will be offered from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in addition to the regular menu.

Crickets Restaurant, 280 George Washington Highway, Smithfield, (401) 232-0300, cricketsrestaurantri.com, will offer a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast items will be offered, along with roast pork, beef and chicken, baked ham, stuffed scrod and pasta. The fee is $18.95 ($10.95 for children).

Davio's, Patriot Place, Foxboro, Mass. (508) 339-4810, davios.com, is serving up a three-course tasting menu from noon to 8 p.m. for $38 plus beverages, tax and gratuity. The entrée choices are surf and turf (top sirloin with grilled shrimp), pan-seared sea scallops, or roasted lamb loin. The dinner menu will be available all day.

Flare, a Brick Oven Bistro, 577 Tiogue Ave., Coventry, (401) 615-8577, will serve brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an all-inclusive price of $19.77 (half price for children under 10). The buffet will include breakfast and dinner items, including desserts and two carving stations. Reservations are recommended.

Il Fornello, 16 Josephine St., North Providence, (401) 722-5599, ilfornellori.com, will be open from noon to 7 p.m. and will offer its full dinner menu and some traditional Italian dishes.

Johnson & Wales Inn, 213 Taunton Ave., Seekonk, (508) 336-8700, jwinn.com, will offer a sunrise breakfast buffet from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Audrey's Restaurant. The fee is $13.95 (children $8.95) plus tax and gratuity. A Mother's Day dinner will be served from 4 to 10 p.m. Specials include Statler chicken, pan-seared salmon and beef tenderloin.

Marriott Providence Downtown, 1 Orms St., Providence, will offer a brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. featuring classic breakfast selections, salads, main entrées, pastries, desserts and fresh fruit. The fee is $29.95 ($15.95 for children 5 to 12). Reservations are required; call weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at (401) 553-0400, weekends at 272-5852.

Pinelli's Café at Night, 701 Quaker Lane, West Warwick, (401) 821-8828, will serve dinner on Mother's Day by reservation only from noon to 6 p.m. A special menu of favorites with an Italian flair will be featured.

West Valley Inn, 4 Blossom St., West Warwick, (401) 822-2834, westvalleyinn.com, will offer a brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring breakfast and lunch items and desserts. The fee is $24.95 ($11.50 for children 5 to 10). An all-you-can-eat family-style dinner with soup, penne pasta, salad, roast chicken, roast pork loin, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and more is offered from noon to 5 p.m. The fee is $17.50, $10 for children 5 to 10. An 8-percent sales tax and 18-percent gratuity will be added for all parties.
