Very late tonight, even though she is now 17 years old, my daughter will remind me not to forget Santa Claus.
"Shouldn't we get a plate of cookies ready?" she'll ask just as she has since she learned to talk.
And off to the kitchen we'll go to fetch a a Christmas plate and put some cookies on it; probably sugar cookies with sprinkles.
Then we'll pour a small glass of milk or eggnog.
And in the morning it will be gone and presents will be on the sofas for my baby girl and her two big brothers.
Here's to keeping family traditions alive even when the kids are bigger than you.
Have a magical Merry Christmas!
