Here's some food news that was too late to appear in today's food section.

Taqueria Pacifica at AS220 in Providence is out of business as of Sept. 30. Allison Kyner, chef proprietor along with Tyler Long, said AS220 is evicting them from the 115 Empire St. space to make way for their own cafe.

After six years of hard work she said she is understandably disappointed and discounted the notion that they would reopen at another site.

"After taking a little break we might open something, but I doubt it," she said.
"We are soured on this idea."

In other news, the Blue Elephant has closed. The breakfast and lunch spot on Wickenden Street was owned by Joshua Selle and its walls were adorned with pieces of jewelry designed by Selle's artist wife Sara Weintraub.

Two bits of news comes from Chelo's Hometown Bar and Grille.

The Chelo family has announced that as of Monday, Sept. 21st, Chelo's of Wakefield has closed its doors.

Nine other Chelo's locations remain open throughout Rhode Island.

Chelo's is now offering a Dinner and Dessert Special for $8.99 everyday.

And this comes from Twin River in Lincoln:

An All You Can Eat Buffet & Lobster Special, $15.95 (plus tax & gratuity), will be held on
Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29 from 5 - 8 pm at Fado Irish Pub & Restaurant, 100 Twin River Road, Lincoln, 877.82RIVER
The first lobster is included in the price and is cooked to order. Additional
lobsters are $8 each.
The buffet menu includes:
Clam Cakes
Clam Chowder
Corn on the Cob
Baked Potatoes
Farmhouse Salad
Souvenir pints of beer available with any buffet purchase for $1.99
and you keep the glass
