Cork Savvy, a Web site that offers educational resources and interactive tools to help users get savvy about wine, announces its latest feature: Wine Cheat Sheets, available to be viewed or for free download on the site.

The Wine Cheat Sheets--currently available in "Global" and "Wines from Spain" editions--are CorkSavvy's handy answer to the traditional, staid "wine vintage cards." Whereas wine vintage cards/charts offer limited information and only appeal to a small percentage of wine drinkers, CorkSavvy's Wine Cheat Sheets provide quick, useful facts about the most important wines: the name of the winegrowing "Region"; the "Main Grape" varieties used there; a very brief description of the wine ("In A Nutshell"); and recommended food pairings ("Tastes Great With").

Wines from Spain are worth our study. Go and do your work, responsibly, of course.

In addition to the Global and Wines from Spain editions of the Cheat Sheet, several more incarnations are coming soon: the wines of France, the wines of Italy, the wines of the Napa Valley, and a wine-and-cheese pairing sheet. All will be available as free downloads on the site.
