Cork Savvy, a Web site that offers educational resources and interactive tools to help users get savvy about wine, announces its latest feature: Wine Cheat Sheets, available to be viewed or for free download on the site. The Wine Cheat Sheets--currently available in "Global" and "Wines from Spain" editions--are CorkSavvy's handy answer to the traditional, staid "wine vintage cards." Whereas wine vintage cards/charts offer limited information and only appeal to a small percentage of wine drinkers, CorkSavvy's Wine Cheat Sheets provide quick, useful facts about the most important wines: the name of the winegrowing "Region"; the "Main Grape" varieties used there; a very brief description of the wine ("In A Nutshell"); and recommended food pairings ("Tastes Great With").
In addition to the Global and Wines from Spain editions of the Cheat Sheet, several more incarnations are coming soon: the wines of France, the wines of Italy, the wines of the Napa Valley, and a wine-and-cheese pairing sheet. All will be available as free downloads on the site. |
