What have you never eaten that most people have?

Driving in to work this morning, I was listening to ESPN radio. But it wasn't all sports talk. In the crazy haze of summer conversation, Erik Kuselias and Tim Kurkjian stepped away from baseball and football as they filled in on the Mike and Mike in the Morning show.

They started talking about things they had never done that most people had. Eric has never driven a stick shift; Tim only recently changed his first tire.

There was a lot of food on the menu, especially when they brought in guest Michael Kay, a New York Yankees broadcaster. Kurkjian had never drunk a cup of coffee until he did so on the show. Kuselias has still never had a cup of coffee or finished a beer because he doesn't like the taste.

But Kay's list was really interesting. He's never eaten a condiment. No mustard, ketchup or mayo has ever passed his lips. He's never eaten an egg! And he's never had any kind of fish.

I've never eaten tripe though my Nana tried her best. But I don't think everybody else has eaten it either.

So share with me fine readers, what have you never eaten that most people have?

I've never eaten a PBJ sandwich or a slice of white bread. The texture is just too soft. I didn't eat any bread until in my 30's. My bread has to be toasted.

If you've never tried it, how do you know the texture is too soft?

I find it interesting that Providence's Dave Gracer, most famous for eating and convincing the rest of the U.S. to eat insects, has never eaten a hamburger from McDonald's. He said so while being interviewed on the Colbert Report last year.
